No Kanye West this time!

I thought it was kind of funny when Taylor Swift was accepting one of her awards and ended her acceptance speech by thanking the crowd for not running up on stage and grabbing the microphone from her. :)

Some questions though? :?

Why was Dave Mathews on?

Who was the surprise guest?

Why did Kellie Pickler go red head?

I watched most of the show. The sound was way off for the performances and it messed it all up for me. I though the Zac Brown Band did a great job on Devil Went Down To Georgia though. Those guys are even better than people think. As for the questions. Dave Matthews was on becaause he has a duet song with Kenny Chesney. I don't know who the special guest was and Kelly just wantdto be different than every other young woman in country music now. I also though that Daughtry and Vince Gill was really good performing Tennessee Line. If it wasn't for the sound problem it would've been one of the best CMT awards shows i've seen.

I'm not one for watching those awards shows.

Thanks 6T, I agree with your comments on the Zac Brown Band and I think Pickler looks much better as a blonde. Someone played at about the final half hour to the end and used a Tele that I've never seen before. It looked like a Haggard Tele, but had the thinline style body and also a nice looking binding. Not sure who the guy was, but the Tele was very nice looking and sounding.

I must have missed that one. I really like the Haggard Tele and will own one some day. I agree Kelly P does look better as a blonde.

I watched 'em. I saw attractive people playing classic instuments. But, what they were playing just didn't pop. The songs were hook-free.
I dunno, maybe Lennon and McCartney used up all the possible variants.

Hey Vince Gill, Lean Cuisine is in the frozen foods isle of your favorite
supermarket.

IT WAS AWESOME! Well played by Paisley and Underwood. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Kanye, but hopefully this burn will shut him up for a while.
