CC - keep after it Bro - sleep is optional when you go into a creative mode. Create now - sleep later!

I usually find that the song or lyrics that I spent all night writing aren't nearly as great as I thought they were when I go over them again the next day.

Soundin good man, I wanna hear that.

I hear ya Texas, but one of my old bands greatest 'hits' came from times like these. We were trying to write for nights on end and ended up writing about what we were doing. Its a song called Nocturnal Animals.

This was written nearly 10 years ago, teenage days:

'Oh what am I gonna do?
To make this all something new
the nocturnal animals we've become
Threatened by the friction and the scarred gums

I miss the simplicity of the slow life
But I can't even remember what it goes like
A lifetime of unfinished tasks
I'm feeling the struggle in sharp blasts

Chorus:

Become
Become safe
Get back
Get back safe
It's true we have no self control
But we enjoy it from balls to bones

I just need a break sometimes
A fistful of dirt and black lines
I think my friend you said it best
You can't beat the king without six hours rest

(Chorus)

Oh did you know?
How could you feel
This heart of stone
You tried to steal
I hope my friend you'll sleep again
'cause all I've seen it's past, it's been

(Chorus)
Outtro

Credits shared with a guy called Kris, it would be rude not to. But like I said, we were teenagers but this simple song came from it and with the music it sounds great and I still play it from time to time.

Jesus, its $@!& when you read it, think the music stood the test of time better. Ah well, good times, Kris and Seany were, still are, very talented.
