Hey guys I'm pretty sure it fits in this forum correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyways I love the tone of the guitarist and style in this band:

I understand he uses a slide, but what kind do you think? Glass?
Also what else should I do to achieve that tone. EQ settings? Effects? The tone knob on my guitar? Thanks in advance.

I hear a neck pickup, low gain, no much highs on the EQ, tone knob on the guitar down halfway or more to roll off the edginess of the pickups. Maybe a subtle delay, not much regen on it.

For the type of slide, could be glass, pyrex or ceramic. Any kind of metal might be too harsh, but you could EQ that out as well.

Not really a hard tone to get though.

Well I guess without knowing anything about the guitarist or the band or what type of guitar is used, I would guess he's using a glass slide.

As for the tone, I think my guess would as good as anyone elses.

Bass - 8
Treble - 9
Mid - 0

I'm being a little facetious. Try playing around with your amp til it sounds right. Good Luck! :D

+1...I think that it definately is not a metal slide....

I'm not much of a slide player, but I had a metal slide for years and hated how it sounded. Then I got a nice pyrex one and the tone was completely different. That's the sound I wanted all along.
