I recently picked up this book, http://www.amazon.com/All-Music-Guide-Blues-Definitive/dp/0879307366/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257479997&sr=1-2 , from the library and I'd highly recommend it to anyone else who is interested in learning more about blues, and particularly anyone else who is relatively new to the genre like me. It has recommendations for what would be a good first album to introduce you to a style or artist. And that's very useful to me considering how many "best of" CDs there are for people like T-Bone Walker and Jimmy Reed. So if any of you would find something like that useful, this would be a good book to thumb through. :)
