We've had the FenderForum.com (not affiliated with Fender) for almost 10 years.

Why did it take Fender so long to set up their own forums?

Trust me, it's something we/I have been wanting to do for quite some time! Rather than focus on the "why'd it take so freakin' long" aspect of it, let's just be glad we're finally here. :D

Brad, we are hugely grateful for what you have done in creating an official forum, belatedly or not. I think you - and most other members here - know exactly why we needed you to do this.

You Fender guys just keep getting better and better. Now, about that Duo reissue.....

We are happy! Thank you Brad and Fender!!!

I'm just amazed that something so obvious took 10 years. I think it has to do with the whole Web 2.0 craze.

Just had to add my 2 cents here as well.

I bought my first Fender in 2004. At the time I looked online to research Fender instruments and was surprised there wasn't an "official" Fender presence on the web. There were alternatives, some of them with Fairly Decent Participation, but many of them gave the name Fender a less than friendly first impression.

It's nice to see Fender finally have an official voice online now. Welcome to cyber space, Fender!

There are some great forums around, that are my first stopping off point for info. I hope this becomes another. Glad to see you up and running.

This is a great start, but I am a bit concerned by the forum description - no fender technical help at all? One of the things that makes a vendor forum invaluable is getting answers to questions about product that just is not in the literature. Like, they give width of necks on the specs pages but never the thickness...is it flat, or a boatneck?

Kudos to vendors with good specs pages of course (Ibanez is great btw) but a forum with some vendor know-how is good too.
