Hi SRVFender: earlier this year Forum user SlapChop asked for thoughts on custom neckplates and I suggested making one yourself. Then I took my own advice and did it - that thread shows how:

Give or take a bit of polishing this is what the finished neckplate looks like:



The bird is a European magpie, and I have some ideas for a Magpie Strat build project to put it on. One for the future...

GregBluesJr. I've seen some custom plates, usually with pinup girls on them, (which I think is awesome) but your Ouiji board neckplate has got to be the coolest one I've ever seen.

Is the neck plate hard to replace? I named my guitar Satine (I put in another thread that the colors reminded me of that character. If I had a black one, I'd name it abby after the character from NCIS LOL). I don't want to damage my guitar.

strange, huh.

Also, can you take a color image and have someone make a detailed one? I had a couple of images in mind, but they're in color.
