I have a couch strap on my crimson red american tele. The strap is made of the actual 30 year old vintage deadstock vinyl used in many early late 70’s and early 80’s Mercedes Benz cars.

I just use one of these Fender straps. Thought it looked ok with the brownburst Tele and it's comfortable enough.

Cheers.

I think that there was a strap thread recently, but I don't mind having an excuse to post mine again... this one was made by Chantal Cordey here in Sydney. She also made many of the leather outfits in Mad Max III: Beyond Thunderdome, Crocodile Dundee's sheath (for "...this is a knife!") and Superman's luggage from that last film.

I particularly like the Pelham hook fastening system. Much tidier than holes and buttons.

Cool straps. I'm a bit envious.

Has anyone ever had a custom strap made? I was thinking of taking my crappy one that came with my Squier set and making my own out of it (maybe do some hand stitching or something with it)

I've a black Franklin, white stitching, with chrome hardware. Bought it for my Gilmour. You'll have to check their webside for a look-see. They have a great line.

Doc.

Their stuff is really nice. This one is their Padded Glove Leather series; really really soft. I ordered it from Artisan Guitars; they carry the complete Franklin Line.

Wow nice straps, I just use standard Fender monogram brown/black one and red/black one and some Levi's all black simple. Nothing much to see, hence no pics.

You're right Doc, they have some very nice straps. I e-mailed them last year, to see if they did overseas shipping. Unfortunately, I never did get a reply.
