I am searching for a new amplifier and have played a few so far. Does anyone own a Fender Super Champ XD? I have seen some good reviews on YouTube but what are people opinions on this amp? Does the clean channel sound better than the blues junior?

I've played through one of these almost every day at guitar center for the past 3 months. I say it is a good amp and sounds really good clean, pretty good price too. I still think the Blues JR or Pro Jr sound better overall but thats jut my opinion.

I own one..love it wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It has replaced my Marshall, and peavey amp as my main recording and performing amp. Don't let the small size or low wattage fool you. The voivings are fantastic and the fx are great. The only thing I dislike...I didn't buy this sooner! Hiope that this helps.

I too have been looking at buying either the SCXD or the Blues Jr. I think that the SCXD will have more effects to work with, but I am not afraid of buying effect pedals to get the effects I want.

Right now I am saving money for the Blues JR, I have half the money saved already. We'll see which one I walk out of the store with when the time comes. I have played both in the store, and I love both of them.

RK,
I hear you. I have a wonderful Digitech RP355 which i really love to use...if I get lazy and don't feel like lugging it along for a gig..it is ok because the SCXD's FX are that good. So just food for thought. Either way a Blues Jr or an SCXD you can't go wrong!! Good luck and let us know what you get!

I've owned one since February. I love it.

I only play in the house and on my porch with it. For me it's perfect - not too large or too heavy and it can get loud enough for me - but I'm not playing in club or with anyone other than my daughter on Bass (sometimes).

I owned one sice they came out allmost two years and it is awesome in many regards. There are only couple of fixable issues with it

1. The power tubes rattle when cranked. I hear it 50% time nad annoys me the other 50% everybody around me was playing so loud that the rattle is transparent. Nowdays I play at home on volume up to 3 so there ane no issues.

2. Wish it could had a 12 in speaker fro a bottom end. People hook it up to the cab and that solves the issue

3. Clean headroom on CH1 is found until volume is on 5-6 beyond that my amStd strat starts roaring after that which is not so nice to my ears a lot of times I need clean loud. Mike it or hook it up to ps via line out and you are ok for live.

As mentioned for home use is more that loud, live now that depends on other people playing around you. I found it not enough. Technicaly it is not better that other hybrid amps but it sounded the best and had an awesome price that is why i bought it.

Tube dampners will help with the rattle. I got them for mine and no more rattle...hope that this helps.

I've had mine since March and am very happy with it. Didn't think I'd use the voicings, but I do. I play it in the house so power wise it's more than enough. Sounds like some owners like to mod it and swap out the speakers. Go to the amp thread. Someone there has a really good A/B speaker test. The SCXD always has some thread going. Didn't try the others. I paid $250 for mine (new floor sample). So that certainly helped make the decision. get one and play the heck out of it.

I've been using mine as a stage monitor (lined out to a bigger rig with a 15) at church for a couple months now. Sounds great for that. Clean channel is good, for OD I pretty much live on the Vox channel.

I picked one up minty for $175 in a pawn.

I have a Superchamp XD and a Blues Jr. Both are great amps, but I think the Blues Jr. has a much better clean tone than the Superchamp XD. Alot of it may be due to the 12 in speaker in the Blues Jr. The XD give more tonal options with all the voicings and effects, so it really is not comparing apples to apples. As far as volume is concerned I think the Blues Jr. is also louder even though both amps are 15 watts.
