I have several names in my head and one in particular as overall champeen but was wondering who might be named in a public opinion topic.

The lead singer for Boston don't know his name and of course you can't forget Freddie Murcury. It's really a personal opinion.

I'm going to have to say, David Coverdale, believe it or not.

Arena Rock - Ian Gillian

Overall - Burton Cummings (formerly of The Guess Who)

The Bachman-Cummings Songbook CD is a great example of Burt's vocal chops!

Mellow Rock - James Taylor

I'd like Freddie Mercury at the front of my band. Please.

And call me a dinosaur, but I'd settle for Elvis, too!

Cheers - C

That was the name I had in mind for overall Champeen but his name is spelled Paul Rodgers.

Several people touched on Deep Purple so I'm surprised no one mentioned Dave Coverdale yet, one of the other names I had in mind.

no doubt about this....

male vocalist - Tiny Tim ( especially when he sang Tiptoe thru the Tulips )

female vocalist - Olivia Newton John ( incredibly wide, expressive range )

It would have been dynamite to hear them perform together...
