Post subject: Neck finish?

I sanded the back down with very fine sandpaper and it feels wonderful very much like a pool cue but should i treat it with something or just let it age threw playing?? any advice is wonderful and thanx in advance.

its a mim standard tele and very litely ....it has no tint it was just very glossy felt sticky

Instead of sanding it down to bare wood, you could have used some 0000 steel wool instead to create that satin feel while retaining the finish layer.
