I swear I am the luckiest guy in the world. I have a profession I love, I have been blessed with musical ability and I have a wife who is not only gorgeous...she totally supports everything I do and like to do. I get home from work today and my new Fender Super Champ XD arrived. She was just as excited as I was and she was like...."Well...plug in and fire it up!" To top it off she has been watching the Fender Fridays to see about getting me a Highway 1 Tele in sunburts with maple neck....talk about an awesome wife!!! I am so lucky!!!

Congrats airbornestrat. Women like that are hard to find. I'm also lucky in that way. My wife is always encouraging me to buy another guitar if there is something I want. The other day I told her I'm running out of room to store them. Her reply was that we need to dedicate a larger room for them.

Airborn

Man thats a good woman. You should show her this thread. I cant think of a amp for under £400 that I'm happier with than my vibrochamp xd and the super champ has even more features.
You lucky lucky man you.

Anyway dont let a good thing go to waste. Figure out a treat for her to say thankyou. Thats a hell of a woman. I have to buy my missus things when I buy myself guitars. You really have got it right round your house.

Looking forward to seeing the highway1 tele.

Thanks guys...and yes..I do spoil her. She is huge into her crafting and sewing...so anything she wants she gets. We can't have kids so I got her a gorgeous Yellow lab. I swear that dog is like a kid...sweet gentle and always does what we tell her to do :D I just feel very blessed because we have been together for 6 years and we still act like it is the first week of our relationship. Today I ordered her a really cool sewing maching tote...why...heck why not...that is my motto with her. It sounds like you guys also have incredible ladies too. I will post pics of the HWY1 once she is delivered.

Cool wives, huh?

I took out the stock ceramics from a cheapish Strat and put in a set of Lace Sensors and started playing. My wife walked in from the other room and said, "hey, what changed? That sounds much nicer."

And I thought: good ears - this is the wife for me! Which was lucky, cos we'd got married a couple of years earlier.

Cheers - C

It's great when you have an understanding wife. Mine even helps me during the breaking down after a gig and carrying gear to the car...not that she really wants to always, but it gets her home quicker I think. :?

Man thats the bestest ever. I see so many people that just want to turn up, plug in, play and go home. Were graced with a 6 speaker p.a, monitors and racked mixing console. The amount of people that want to use it but are nowhere to be seen at packup time is disgusting. Last time it was me, the drummers wife, the vocalist and his wife (both are fast nearing 60) the only ones to pack it away. We put 5 bands on that night, no one else lifted a finger.

My wife is competitive with me=\ She plays Bass, Keyboards and a bunch of traditional strings so when I'm eyeing that Tele DX I want, she's eyeing a Jag bass. When I'm looking at getting a new head or stack, she is looking at getting a new worstation. So it's a fight for who gets to blow the money :P

Heh, you sound like a friend of mine whose wife also does crafts & sewing and supports him in all he does in his music. Oh yeah, we are also in a band together. Don't think you're him though, he plays a G&L through a Peavey amp.

You guys that have musical wives are extremely lucky. Mine closes the door because she says it's "too loud" even when my amp is turned down to around 3 or 4. She also gives me grief whenever I am looking at the guitars in GC, etc.

Count your blessings.
