I think it's a digital rack from Line 6.

Hal Leonard has a ton of lessons on his music with CD backing tracks.

But if you wan't to see him play best get his DVD or log into Youtube.

Also the guitar mags might have something from time to time.

Check out Guitar One, Guitar World or whatever others are out there.

Good luck,

When the movie It Might Get Loud comes out on DVD, make sure you pick up a copy. The Edge pretty much shares all his secrets.

I don't have any U2 videos, but i saw them
last night @ The Rose Bowl here in Pasadena.

His tone from guitar to guitar (& the sound in general) was excellent
& it was great to see & hear the famous Black Strat & Korina Explorer.

His little pile of 3 late 50's Bassmans & 2 60's AC30's
was pretty cool too. Though, being a total gearhead,
i probably enjoy seeing that stuff more than most.

While there are some U2 songs that i love & mean lot to me,
i wouldn't necessarily consider myself a huge fan or anything.
But Those guys really know how to do Stadium Rock right.

Plus, how often does a band like U2
play two miles from your house?
I kind of figured i HAD to go.

The Edge is a buffoon (in my opinion) a wealthy buffoon, but still a buffoon.

I hate to sound like a jerk...but I really don't care for his playing...it just seems very cold....I appreciate the band as a whole, but I wouldn't be all excited about meeting him...JMO...sorry if I offend anyone

I saw 98,999 people last night
who would probably beg to differ.

But, that's part of the beauty of Music.
Some people can love an artist & others
can hate them... & everybody's right.

The Edge isn't really someone I'd list as an influence... or U2 for that matter. For me, he only has one trick... and it's been old for a long time now...

But, to each his own I guess. I like some things, but not a lot...

The Edge is actually one of my favorite players. He may not be one of the most technically impressive guitarists out there, but he's incredibly good at pulling unique sounds out of his instument/effects and making those sounds fit into U2's songs. I really like his approach to the guitar -- probably a lot more song-focused than many of those who could be catagorized as virtuosos.

I'm sure he's not everybody's cup of tea, but as a previous poster said, to each his own. There are plenty of people out there who don't like Hendrix, don't like the Beatles, don't like SRV, Led Zeppelin, Segovia, Mozart or anybody else whom you or I might be big fans of. That's the beauty of music -- different artists take different approaches to their craft and that's what keeps things interesting!

As for Edge's delay, I'm not sure what he uses these days, but early on I believe he used an Electro-Harmonix Memory Man analog delay pedal.
