Only at Walmart? Don't think so. I've seen it at Best Buy, Target, Barnes & Noble, etc. The CD keeps calling me when I walk past it in the stores. It says "BUY ME, BUY ME NOW".

I've heard nothing but good reviews of this CD. I'll have to pick it up soon. And I can't wait to see the BSO show in December!

I've also heard there's a good Los Lonely Boys CD out. I should check that one out.

Are you referring to the 5 song EP? I have a thread about it here.

Aside from his BSO Christmas Shows, my favorites are his 'Somgs of West Side Story' songs and 'Wolfgang's Big's Night Out'.

Here's the discography :

http://www.briansetzer.com/discography.php

He is a musician's musician in my opinion. He can sight read along with the best studio cats, but he doesn't flaunt it.

Eventually there will probably be a bundled "best of" series, which would be a real good variety of music, IMO.

How did I miss a post on my main man.lol I am going to get the new album this week and I really dont know what to expect. After just reading an interview with him in the holiday issue of Guitar player that has KISS on the cover. I would be jumping for joy if I was 15, but Brian is on page 36 with a killer chartreuse green Gretsche.

He says he wrote this album as if he was scoring a film, only the film does not exist yet but in his mind. Only Setzer could come up with an idea that the interviewer calls "It is a film -noir-inspired soundtrack to a movie script straight out of Setzers imagination." His creativity is just off the chart. Well I dont know what to expect but I know it is going to be good.

He is living in Minnesota now for the last three years and this album came about because the guy who produced it played in a band with Setzers wife 15 years ago and was working as a bartender and Brian and his wife became regulars, and he found out this guy had a studio in his basement with all this old wild gear like a Supro Thunderbolt amp and a Sears Silvertone 1484. The guys name is Mark Stockert and he said that when Setzer found out he had this studio he said he did not want to say anything because where ever he goes people just latch onto him. He said they went to Nashville and he might as well have been with McCartney.lol

Now this is old school. This guy goes on to say"A lot of guitarist go through a bunch of solo takes and comp together the best pieces, but not Brian. He would play these amazing solos- and all of them were quite different, off the top of his head- and if he made one little mistake he would redo it. Instead of comping parts together ,he would say F--- This Im going to play it like a man.

Interesting...the tune in the 3rd post is the title track I think?
