i have no idea what you are talking about i only like gibson les pauls because i hav one but if i could swap it for any guitar at all i would swap it for the green esquire art guitar chris fleming made that has a 'barbed wire' paint job and decoeration around the sides the body is made from an old tractor it is beast and yes it is FENDER

Hypadrive: If you are so serious about this thread, then why don't you give us a nice long unique and detailed reasoning on why you chose the Les Paul ... or are we expected to do all the heavy lifting here?

i just like the gibson les paul because i have one if i didnt have one i wouldnt like it

well i would like it but i wouldnt buy it there is loads of guitars out there that are way better than les pauls. if i could i would probably buy a fender cyclone II

Aww come on don't ride the kid to hard. He is young and inexperienced and only joined the forums half an hour ago. How about showing him the Fender love and affection this forum is known for.

Hey hypadrive - that Cyclone is a neat guitar. I've got one that looks like this. Same color exactly. It's pretty sweet! Mines from the first year the Cyclones came out.

I'm pretty sure that barbed wire esquire was a one off. If you go down to the 'Ask Mike Eldred' section of the forums, he'll give you all kinds of info on it.

Personaly I agree the les paul is one of the best guitars ever. Thats why its so popular. Nothing beats a strat though. Thats why its THE most popular guitar ever.

have you seen the sparkle stratacaster greg fessler designed. its in the same mag as the art guitars i was talking about. it looks alright.
