All, I've posted elsewhere here trying to identify the MIM I had purchased back in 1996. The store owner told me it was a Jimmy Vaughn, cuz it had the Tex-Mex pups, which BTW are very cool! But there's no sig on the headstock. So I started asking around, and final got a quick and direct answer from the great folks in customer care.

This is what they sent me ...

COMMENTS:
WRENCH SIZES:

Made for one year, 1996 and it has the 50th Anniversary sticker on the back of the head. It was a special edition with the Tex-Mex pups, but Not a JM. THats cool though, cuz it sounds awesome. I've changed the bridge trem to a '65RI Fender which has the steel block, not the zinc in the MIM's. Not sure since it's a One-Year only that it's got any value, but for Blues this baby has some tone! It's Black with RW neck.....love it.

Any others out there with One-Year specials to share?

Hi, I write on this forum to try to identify this guitar.

After some internet searching I think it is a MIM Fender Tex-Mex manufactured between mid 1995 and 1996.

I see that the guitar has the same specs as you write here, I hope to be lucky, because I want to buy it and do not know what price could pay for it.

I'm from Spain and the prices of used guitars are more expensive here, the guitar is in very good condition.

In addition to the guitar, the seller included in the lot: the original white rapper (the seller says the black pickguard is also added), an amplifier Fender Bullet PR-241 and Korg pedal Toneworks AX30g.

What would be a reasonable price?

These guitars were made only for a year until it began distributing the model Jimmie Vaughan, I have a question, were exported to Europe?

Thanks in advance, regards!!

One thing certain -- the guitar's current owner doesn't know jackshit about how split-post tuners work.

In the future, simply refer to this handheld implement as "Ruby and Bernice".

Nor intonation. Unless that's a very weird mix of different brand/type strings, that thing will sound pretty sour at high frets.

nachobijou, nice photos, thanks for posting. the OP got his info from customer service and I can vouch for their helpfulness as they have always answered my questions when I called them. Don't mind the barking, this wolf pack doesn't bite lol.
