i've been writing since i was a freshman, so that's four years... does anybody else do like i do, and write the lyrics first? oh, just as a matter of opinion... how many songs do you think makes for an acceptable album? i have about ten right now... i don't think it's enough...

jessholl...

Writing the words first is a great place to start, putting them to music can then be a little tough, because then you may/will have to rework some words to fit the format of the song. I enjoy writing lyrics, but I don't feel I sing well enough to do anything with them.

As far as how many songs for an album... I agree with thouston. Better to have ten great songs on an album, then 14 crappy. Less is more especially if a listener wants to hear your song over and over.

All the best to you and your band.

Hi Tony! You know I already write, though I've not sold anything. I hope to send you that CD soon, or at least e-mail you some cuts.

I started out writing parodies then one day it hit me...and I started concentrating on writing original tunes and jingles.
