Another big fan here! If you do a search in the Custom Shop forum you will find a vast amount of post when we were all waiting for Gilmours Black Strat to be released. Many of us own them. I think he is one of the greatest of all. The man can put more emotion in a couple of notes than most do in a song.

I like David Gilmour's playing a lot! But I like the other guy David Gilmore better. He's the one that plays with Steve Coleman in the M-Base Collective and sometimes with Wayne Shorter!

Look and listen here:

Rolling Stone rated him at #89 for greatest guitarists...he should've been in the top 10

'Nuther huge Gilmour fan here. Rolling Stone has long been an "iffy" rag.

+1 for Top 3

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I really love his playing. The man can totally rock a strat. I think his most brilliant solo was on Comfortably numb...really filled with tone and feeling..and not a thrashing million note a second wnak fest...he is brilliant..IMO
