Nope. I guess if the brand name of your guitar company is "Vintage" then you can automatically charge more for your instruments right?

I'm going to start a guitar company and my guitars will say "Expensive" on the headstock.

They are one more "made somewhere in Asia" lower end guitars.

My opinion, if you want a Les Paul "look a like" buy an Epiphone, at least it's owned by Gibson and it's a Les Paul. My son owns an Epi Paul and it's a very nice guitar. The only place they obviously cut corners is the fretboard inlays (you can see the epoxy around them if you look) and the pickups (typically weak "offshore" manufacture).

Change out the pickups and it holds it's own against the Gibsons at a much lower price.

i never really understood the "distressed" look. I always kinda thought that was like false advertising... if you want to have a beat up looking guitar buy one and play it until it is worn from your own sweat and hard work. I am not putting them down so please do not think that i am, just personally i never really liked it (not in clothing with fake rips or cars with fake bullet holes or beautiful guitars made to look distressed)

I do indeed own one, its a hell of a sound. I'm sorry to say that despite agreeing with a lot of what Mthorn says, hes very wrong on this. The guitar is way above anything i've ever seen out of epiphone, except maybe their £6-700 pricerange. Infact I'd even include my guitar in that, which I have to accept is a bad example of Vintage produce.

The man himself, Trev Wilkinson is a giant among guitar builders albeit unknown to the public outside of the UK. His involvement with the customshop is little known as are his innovations in bridge/trem designs. The guitars are indeed produced in China. Have no doubt the quality control is excellent, they are very consistent in their high standards. After playing a plethora of Vintage guitars I can only surmise that I got a bad one. Even their bargain bin stuff is better than mine was new (one reason I wont shop online again). After extensive fret and neck work mine plays tremendously. It sounds superb too thanks to the wilkinson pickups. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one IF I had a lot of time to check it over before parting with cash. As I said before I haven't played another as bad as mine, but where theres one theres more. Be careful and try before you buy.

Thankyou for that grace sir

At the end of the day their the same as every other guitar in that pricerange, some are gems, some are dogs. I bought a dog, everyone else I know bought a gem. There are the usual sloppy mistakes (sharp edges where you want a rounding) nothing major though.

I've played a few--some had very nice necks--as nice as some recent Fenders.
But some had not so good necks.

I've never plugged one in, so I can't comment on that.

ANd I'm not a fan of the relic look--not matter who does it--unless I'm buying a used guitar that was gigged, or I "relic" it myself through use.

Looks like a knock off brand to me. Never herd one or played one for that matter. So who knows, Not me. However they do look good like Fender/Gibson.
