Try StewMac.com. They sell frets and could advise you which ones to use. Then you can get the same in Dunlop or whatever brand you like.

I think they all fit it's just a matter of which ones you like. (you can always file or glue)

EVH liked jumbo on his strat. Not sure about Yingwi or any of the shredders but probably the bigger the better.

No way for me

FRET-6000
Dunlop 6000 Accu-Fret® fretwire. The 6000 series is the largest wire Dunlop offers. Both tall and wide, has maximum mass for easy bending and a scalloped feel. Measures .058" tall and .118" wide. 18% nickel/silver hard alloy.

I've put both on several Strat and Tele necks (along with who knows how many Ibanezs). They work just fine. They are durable, bends and vibratos are nice and easy and the fretted notes sustain well beyond what the OEM frets offer. Needless to say, you have to have a lighter fretting hand touch or you can actually bend the pitch of the notes up if you push down too hard. Worth noting is that the guitar sounds a LITTLE bit more trebly with these frets but not in a bad way. Naturally, a new nut must be cut and the guitar must be completely resetup upon completion; nothing out of the ordinary.

These monsters aren't for me but they are extremely popular among many, many players.

In my neck of the woods (NYC area), not counting the associated costs of the nut and setup, approximately, $250.
