The first time that I saw a Hannibal Lector flick was kind of chilling.

Some of the greatest, The evil dead series, they're solid and made of genius.

Also Cannibal Holocaust is a really messed up film. Its banned in 53 countrys and the director got arrested because he couldn't prove that there was actual deaths in the play itself.

Look it up, its crazy

Yeah I saw Cannibal Holocaust when it was de-banned (or whatever the term is). A very good film of two distinct halves.

The Hills Have Eyes, was also another that was banned. What would we do without the Vipco vaults of horror eh?

Thanks for the link Mike. I did forget American Werewolf in London and many of the other movies listed there.

I love horror movies and getting freaked out. Slashers aren't really that scary to me, but I do enjoy watching them.

A friend of mine gives me crap for this, but one of the scariest movies that I love is the remake of A House on Haunted Hill. It's a little cheesy, but I think it's the cinematography that gives me the chills.

For my #1, I'd have to say The Shining.

The Thing That Couldn't Die, as a rock and roll horror movie ranks up there with I Was A Teenage Frankenstein and I Was A Teenage Werewolf.

The John Carpenter remake of The Thing with Kurt Russell was a very good movie (before all the computer graphics)
