I went to GC today and was surprised by some low prices I saw. I even looked at the guitars to make sure they werent damaged (and they were ok.). I saw a Fender Blackout Tele for 399... I actually thought it was labeled wrong so I read the whole tag, usually those are 599 post price hike. I saw a Squier Jagmaster for 199, typically 279 these days. I saw other stuff too but was kinda beside myself with the contemplation of a Blackout Tele, my funds are low and I don't need it. I cant imagine that though because if I were to use a 10 percent coupon from the mailer it would reduce the price to 360 and thats cheap.

It's getting near the end of the year, they may be trying to boost sales in order to post better financials.
Just buy fast, don't wait, prices WILL go up again

My local GC is selling MIM Strats for $299, and one of the local Fender dealers are having a sale on all Fender gear the month of October (20% off). I'm really gassin for a Road Worn Strat or Tel and a RI Twin, so now may be the time to pull the trigger.

You have to shop around with GC or any other store. I like to check prices (I buy online because I can't get out much). GC has been good in some areas with prices. I like their customer service. They always answer my questions in a timely manner. I wish I had one closer to me to shop at. I got my Squier set with amp, picks, strap, stand, gig bag, tuner, extra strings, tools for 99 dollars because they were moving that out (now there's a new tuner with the set I believe and different colored picks). Some holidays and the end of the year is where I start seeing good bargains. I just bite the bullet sometimes and get stuff if it's a good price.

Still kicking myself for not getting a Warwick Corvette for $550 a few months back when they had the last blowout. GC has some amazing deals during those blowouts, but they go fast.
