Sorry but I have to disagree with that statement. Only the very high end Fenders come with good speakers (unless you think eminence makes a good speaker) and not everyone can afford (or justify) those amps. For many people a good speaker is just as important as good pickups. The amp is just as much an instrument as the guitar and should be given as much attention to detail.

My 2¢

On the subject of justifying or affording a good amp, I never could understand why people will spend thousands on guitars and/or guitar mods and upgrades but then cheap out on the amp or amp upgrades. If a stock guitar is perceived by some players as a good starting point from which to begin customizing why not amps too?

Another 2¢. Does that make 4?

Fender usually ALWAYS came with a good or at least very decent speaker. From the Champs all the way up. At least you has a chance. I never changed a speaker in my old amps. I stand by mt statement. They already use cheap sub par tubes they could at least throw a Jenson in the amp. My Egnater was only $150 more than my HRDlx and came with a custom voiced Celestion 80 in a Birch cabinet no less. It's all about profits my friend.

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding here. I was merely pointing out the fact Fender amps usually come with Eminence speakers of which most are not even worthy to be installed in a Crate amp let alone a Fender and they usually need to be replaced with a good speaker.

(Fender Special Design = Eminence)
