The term "best" is too opinionated.

The cyber series are good, the soul of tone series too, I like the original tube amps best (Twin, Super, Pro, Champ and Deluxe Reverb).

Yeah you can. I did. If you go Fender stick with the higher end amps.

For me it's the Fender Twin or a 4X10 Bassman depending on my mood. Though my main amp is a Carvin V3.

The'65 Twin Reissue is a great amp.I have a late 60's silver face Bassman and that sounds sweet through my 4-12 Marshall cab,it breaks up real nice with a warm dirty tone when cranked.

If memory serves, Fender has long considered the Twin Reverb the standard / starting point fo their amps.

Vote for "Best" goes to '65 Reissue Twin Reverb, tho personally, 'use a bought-used Cyber-Twin on '59 Bassman and '65 Deluxe Reverb settings much of the time, happily.

The best Fender amp has got to be the Vibro-King. In all truth nothing else compares. It's pricey (and heavy) but worth it. Huge balls on the bottom. Huge. The best chime of any Fender ever made. The quietest operation of any tremolo circuit of any Fender I ever tried. As touch sensitive as an old Vibrolux Reverb and the fat switch simply drips killer overdrive. It's a tone monster.

Depends on what type of tone you're looking for. I like the Vibro King Custom the best.

I won't go so far as to say I hate the HRD but I do strongly dislike it. IMO you can often go wrong buying a cheap tube amp regardless of brand. Those 40 watt Traynors and the HRD come immediately to mind. If a person wants a low power amp with a single 12, the '65 DRRI is a significantly sweeter sounding amp than the HRD for not very much more money. Replace the stock Emminence speaker with a Celestian AlNiCo Gold and it sings.

It was a HRDlx. A serious POS. The most unreliable and poorly built/designed I've ever owned in 40+ years of playing tube amps.
If it don't sound right, take it back. You shouldn't have to change the speaker, it should come with a good speaker. That's the problem. Why spend the money on an amp that you have to modify just to get a decent sound out of it? Above all it should be reliable.

Sorry guys he asked.
