Is anybody familiar with this software? You are supposed to be able to play a music cd or mp3 and Sienzo will show what chords and notes are played on a paticular piece of music. Or is there something out there you guys know about and not to expensive? Thanks for any info!!

Chords and bass?

My brain does that analysis already for free. Plus, it's portable!

Yes that may be true being that you're a "professional" musician but many of us haven't attained to such great heights so a little help is sometimes needed. Especially when ones chord vocabulary is or maybe limited being compared to one such as yourself. Thanks for your info.

Maybe if you practiced guitar as much as you do sarcasm you wouldn't need software.

But hey, that's just me being judgmental from my lofty perch.

Seriously, man, I'm not busting your chops, I'm telling you the truth. It doesn't take any deep harmonic knowledge to figure out pop, rock and country songs. You don't need software... you need ear training. Figure it out! It's good for your ear.

Once again all you say may be true but you opened the door of sarcasm. I don't play country, rock and very little pop and I do need a lot of practice but that was not the question. I asked because someone thought this type of software was needed or no one ever would have come up with it. Please forgive me if I seem sarcastic but when you get past 45 years old every advantage in life may be helpful and some of us are just plain curious. So to anyone that knows about this type of software I would appreciate the info. Thanks and God bless.

Well, the DDM software claims to be able to translate any "pop, rock or country song." It makes no claim for anything else. That's why I mentioned those genres. It most likely has algorithms for the harmonic conventions of pop, and won't work decoding anything more complicated. I

And nobody was being sarcastic... I was just making a joke about how pointless the software seemed. Unless you are the author, no offense. I never met a guitar player who couldn't figure out songs by ear... I was not intending to be insulting.

Sorry I wasn't able to provide the glowing positivity you wanted. May Bog and All His Holy Angels smile upon you.
