I hope that CDs are here to stay,any mp3 players I've heard just lack the audio quality of a CD or vinyl no matter how good the headphones or whatever else it's played on.Vinyl still has a viable diehard following and I imagine so will CDs.

STLBlues, I hope that never happens. I like a hard copy, with liner notes.
Last night I was listening to Robben Ford's "Truth", noticing each song's
recorded location in LA and trying to recall the area. Then I started noting the drummer's names. "Hey, Bernie Dresel. Brian Setzer's drummer. Wow."

People have sent me mp3s. I have no idea where they are.
