This should be interesting. In your opinion what singers voice epitomizes Rock & Roll? I think the list will be long, and you can name as many as you like. If you think there is only one who is above all the others thats okay. I'll start of by naming just 3 of mine:

Sammy Hagar
Jim Morrison
Sebastian Bach

Roger Daltrey, Bon Scott, and Ozzy are some of the names I'd like to add to the other names mentioned so far ^^.

I am not talking "favorites" now but pure singing chops -- not songwriting, showmanship, longevity, musical importance, or anything else. Got that??? Just pure singing ability...

Here is the BEST singer ever in hard rock. When it comes to being able to truly sing, this guy will bury everybody short of Steve Perry, Mickey Thompson, and Freddie Mercury...

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you ... GEOFF TATE

One name epitomizes rock'n roll (in the world of vocals) and that's Paul Rodgers. Everyone else is judged by the standard he set down. Honourable mentions (in no particular order cuz like Ricky Bobby said, If you ain't first, you're last) to David Coverdale, David Lee Roth, Bob Plant, Rod Stewart & Don Henley.

2¢.

These topics are completely subjective.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
