I don't know what you think, but to me this would be like my son winning the Nobel for physics for his third grade science project. Not deserved at all.

He did bomb the moon today....what does that have to say about him???

Well, actually NASA bombed the moon......but hey the Nobel Peace Prize winner did nothing to stop it, and I am unaware of the moon or any of its inhabitants doing anything to warrant a bombing......

No intention of becoming political. I am more concerned for the moon as I am pro-moon. I wonder if NASA was looking for cheese? Better yet, I wonder if they found cheese??

I don't think the Nobel prize is a political discussion just because it happens to have been awarded to the president, although I concede that it could quickly evolve into one. I just want to know what the criteria for awarding such distinctions are.

Sadly it makes the Nobel Peace Prize look meaningless being given to someone who has done nothing as of yet in anticipation to what he may do!!!!

The Dalai Lama was just snub for World PC!!!!
Quote;
Dalai Lama Receives Rights Award At Capitol
Washington, DC, USA, 7 October 2009 (By Foster Klug, AP) - Lawmakers honored the Dalai Lama with a human rights award Tuesday even as President Barack Obama faced harsh criticism for delaying a meeting with the exiled Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader

Dalai Lama Shrugs Off Apparent Snub By Obama
Washington, DC, USA, 8 October 2009 (Reuters) - The Dalai Lama, Tibet's exiled religious leader, on Thursday shrugged off an apparent snub by President Barack Obama, saying he was assured Obama would raise Tibetan issues when he visits China next month. "He already indicated that he's going to speak with the Chinese and it seems he (will be) seriously engaging with the Chinese about (the) Tibet issue," the Dalai Lama told CNN's "Situation Room" in an interview in Washington.
End Quote;

Theres who should have been givin the Nobel honor. I will say no more on this one!!!!

not to get into the politics of it, (and I said I wouldn't comment :roll: )

But Yassar Arafat got a peace prize, and Hitler was nominated for one too, so I think it's safe to say that it's probably a pretty meaningless prize.

Right up there with Nat King Cole in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Sure it's cool, but he doesn't rock.

Anybody these days can have a club and hand out prizes.

Obama is a token president, set up by a goverment that needs its masses opiated. Ever wonder why nothing ever changes? Tv, miss world, popularity contest pollitics instead of real democracy. The money holders of our nations wont let polliticians stray too far from their preordained paths.

I cant seriously believe the american people voted in anyone who thinks America has 59 states.
