I haven't played it in years, but I took it out of the case last night and it's still a really fun guitar. Not "typically Fender" it's true but it fulfilled it's designated purpose very well. My 16 year old sonwho is all into Nu Metal really likes it (he's even hinted that I pass it on to him). It's too bad they aren't still around.

I've never heard of a Fender Talon. Can you post some pics?

They were made in the early nineties at the Fuji-Gen factory and bear a striking resemblance to certain Ibanez guitars. Most were sold under the Heartfield by Fender brand. A few came out with Fender on the headstock, this is one of them.

Sorry the pic isn't better it's the only one I have handy
Midnight Blue
Seymour Duncan Pickups (1 reg Humbucker and 2 blade style buckers)
Floyd Rose Tremolo

Cool lookin but not for me. It resembles the Jackson Dinky which is also produced by Fender i think. Thanks for sharing.

Definately a guitar aimed at the Metal Market. Like I said, I don't play it much anymore but it is fun every once in a while. I stick with my "normal" Strats and my Tele most of the time.

Ooohh. I'm so jealous!! I love those guitars. I never seem to be able to get my hands on one. But I'm a big fan of Talons.
