I went for my oncology visit and got the regular flu shot
while I was there. My oncologist said that the H1N1 symptoms
are different for each and for me would be the same, so
no other shot needed.

He also said that the media is over-hyping the H1N1 symptoms. :?:

It's been about two hours now and my arm is just now feeling a bit
sore and I feel a siesta is coming soon. :?

Now I'm good until next April when I have my next PET scan. :)

So, your doc said the shot is good for both types?

Yes, in my case. Some younger children or elderly might need both.

Glad you got that taken care of Mike. I was under the impression that children under 4 and women that are or might get pregnant were the main ones that need the H1N1 shots. Do us old codgers over 50 need them too?

zzdoc sent me some info on that I guess I need to read it again more carefully!

I thought the H1N1 vaccine was an inhaler.

If I read correctly it comes as either a shot or an inhaler.

I got the info from zzdoc too, Hop.

I can't speak for anyone else. Just tellin' what my doc told me. Health care professionals are getting both for obvious reasons. I say go with what your doctor says is best for you.

Yeah I changed it because me and Niki had the same one and I've also become quite a tele fan lately. They don't have a Gilmour or La Cabranita one yet! Just a phase I'm going through.

I started out with the same as zzdoc and several others use, but then changed to try and find one that not many used...now I see Alain with the same avatar, but I'm not changin' again....I think the new forum software will have some cool options. :?:

edit - I edited my last post because i wasn't sure if it was changed...must be from the shot? :?
