A computer speaker??!? In a Tupperware tub?

To build the real thing you want a compression horn driver (I made mine back in the 70's from an old Altec horn driver, and it rocked nicely.)

The horn driver will give you the real, classic talkbox tonality... that nasty, nasal Oooh-Baby-I-Love-Your-Rocky-Mountain-Way sound. Do a Google search on "compression horn talk box" for info... there are lots of tutorials on YouTube and elsewhere.

Ok I just checked out banshee and they say that it is too simple but I dont know how to put the microphone. Do I have to connect a thing to microphone?

The tube is connected to a compression horn driver (as SlapChop said). It goes into your mouth, which is right next to a mic, which is hooked up to a PA system.

Yep, I think Craig Anderton had instructions in the 70's. You need the horn driver for the real deal. You drive the horn with a small amp I think it's less than a watt so you don't rattle your fillings loose.

The computer speaker thing seems lame.

Public Address system.
The horn drives the sound up the pipe into your mouth,
your mouth reforms the sound into weird and wonderful shapes and
then it needs to be re amplified so the crowd can hear it :)
hence you (your mouth at least) need to be near a mic feeding into your PA system :)

Being a Fender Forum this is one of Fenders versions of a PA system

Back in the mid to late 70s Guitar Player ran an excellent article on how to make a homemade talkbox I remember it involved using a horn driver cut off before the horn and clear plastic tubing to go from the driver to your mouth.I started it but never finished. You may find it on their website search for old articles.

That video demonstrates why making one out of a computer speaker and a Tupperware bowl is a lousy idea.
