Thanks for history lesson, Rob. It's always interesting to learn how things came to be. This entire discussion is a patchwork quilt. I believe the essence of it was to establish the earliest date on which a guitar maker produced a model named after a known player of the time. Seems to me we've done that early on.

Yes, thanks, Rob! Good to get some first hand information, and good too see you again too.

Re scalloped fingerboards and making them being a small pain: That's a feature of the (relatively new, non-CS) Blackmore model too, but I imagine the RB one is even worse, being a rosewood fingerboard as well as more scalloped on one side than the other.
