As some of you have commented to me recently offline, I've not been hanging out a great deal here lately ... and that's simply because I have been 110% immersed in some new exciting new stuff coming this month, including (but not limited to) a long-overdue replacement version of this rapidly-aging forum software.

I don't want to spill ALL the beans just yet particularly since we do have direct competitors checking out these forums, but just figured I'd stop by for a second and stir the pot and shake the "rumor jar" a bit. :-)

By the way, if all goes according to schedule I'm intending to invite a few forum members help me test all the new stuff (and get a sneak preview in the process), so be watching for an announcement of that in the weeks ahead!

I hope the new software uses the tags so we can embed video into some posts!

No to keifercasters, yes to keefcasters  (Its always a source of bemusement that Fender dont make a regular Keith Richards artist series guitar)

Good work Brad, cant wait for the new developments. Anticipation and suspense levels are reaching critical. Do you plan on doing a "SOON" thread? Have you been taking lessons in mystery from Alain?

Yes, that would be lame. The good news is that it is actually the new Keanu Reeves signature P-bass. Sorry for leaking the secret, Brad. It was bound to get out sometime anyway...

The weird thing is, I wouldn't really get upset about a Keanu bass, as he has recorded and toured as a musician with Dogstar. All I hear about Kiefer is how he has a huge guitar collection, can play, owns an indy label, and was a tour manager for a few months...most people who have a signature guitar have recorded at least one album....

kinda has to be a desire from the artist to make one.But...

Keef didn't like the 'new old stock' reproductions fender made of his worn out guitars. he was the first to get them to "beat them up" for him. He had the first relics made. in that sense he has more influence on Fender's current marketing push than any other artist. The reliced guitar came from the reliced guitarist!
