I hope some of my knowledgeable fellow Fenderphiles can help me.I have an original Vox Clyde McCoy I bought used in'69 the original pot is long but the current one is shot also.I wonder if anyone could recommend a suitable replacement.I've tried Dunlops and they don't do it justice I sent for a Phonekings Clyde and it was flimsy junk.I'd like to use the pots they use in the RMC picture wah but I've been told that Reese has them made especially for him and they're not available for retail sale.I have an old Jen Crybaby but I really love the"vomit"sound of my Clyde. Please help.

I got in touch with Roger and he didn't have anything,he recommended Bourns type 91 conductive plastic pots from RS Components but they had none so it's back to square one.Anyone else have suggestions?I really want to get my Clyde back in operating order asnothing else sounds like an original signature Clyde,it's the same model Jimi used according to Roger Mayer.

guitslinger, that is the coolest ever, you talked to the man who helped Jimi, sorry he didn't have the pots I thought for sure that he would, I will still ask around if I find anything I'll let you know, good luck in your quest.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.I was really taken aback that the man himself took the time to answer me and so promptly too.

I finally tracked down a pot literally on the other side of the world.I'm as far east as you can go in North America and I found the pot in Hawaii. The place I found them was North Star Audio and the pot is called the Pro Pot, his email is tomlanik@earthlink.net from what I've been told from other sources they are far superior to Dunlops and almost a dead ringer for the original Clyde pot. Thanks again all for your help.

If your wah has the old ICAR pot i'd suggest to replace it with a Fulltone pot (if you can find one)...i own three 60ies wahs (2 Vox, 1 Crybaby), one of them came with the original ICAR pot...imho Fulltone's taper is closer than any other pot i've tried... ;)
