Hmm. Well, he's got some chops; no doubt about that.

But he has no dynamics - and ultimately it's not very musical, is it?

Dave Weckl is the man. Saw him with Steely Dan on the first Jazz Orchestra tour, and he was beyond great. So is that linked solo.

He can play "out," he can swing and boogie, he can slam it... nuthin' that guy can't do.

I personally liked the first video better. Killer for a Metal drummer to be so diverse.

I'm a big Carter Beauford fan (Dave Matthews Band).

I didn't like either drummer very much. :lol:

I love the drummers that just MURDER the beat like the guy that played for the Spin Doctors. In more modern terms, I think the Paramore drummer is excellent.
