1969 Chevy Nova SS350. Bought August 1, 1969. Cortez silver, black vinyl top. Modified based on a Vette LT1 engine. LT1 cam, Holley carb, Edelbrock high-rise, JR headers, Hurst Comp plus shifter, Cherry Bomb exhaust, traction bars, sun tach and a Craig 8-track. Set me back about $2,100 not counting the mods. Best Qtr mile 12.98 @101.23mph.

Funny I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday but boy can I recall that car. Traded her in on a yellow Porsche 914 (fun when running).

Well at least I still have the guitar I bought about 5 years earlier.

Very nice. I can't stand what they've done to the front end of the Subaru Impreza family in more recent model years. Yours is one of the last good ones. Hope you don't get too many speeding tickets! 8)

Chevelle's were Girl Magnets for sure, I had a 1970 Chevelle SS LS6 they claimed 450HP but trust me it was more then that M22 Trans, Cowl induct. hood. That thing was over 500LB torque.

I have a 1967 camaro with a built up 350. Got it senior year in high school(2001), and still got it today. Bright yellow with black racing stripes. I'm going to try not to ever sell it.

Let's see ...

My hat has to go to my '72 Cutlass Supreme. My dad and I went in on it as a father/son restoration project (I bought the car and he helped me out along the way with fixing some things). I guess it was his way of making up for not spending much time with me as a kid.

I don't drive it much but when I do ... it's a rather odd feeling I can't put into words.

After that, I'd have to say an old '84 Monte Carlo SS I used to have. It ran like complete $@!& (computer controlled carb system was close to biting the dust) but it still would burn the rear tires off of the rims. Fun car. I wish I still had it to restore.

Otherwise, I tool around in a '98 Camaro. No, it isn't a Z/28, but it is a five-speed. Pretty stout for a V6. So far, I've managed to make it pull 70 mph in fourth gear and it didn't break a sweat. I've yet to see what else it can really do. I'm pretty curious.

My first car was a 67 Chev Belair 4 dr sedan, some day I hope to get a 67 Impala 2 dr hardtop coupe in Plum Mist-they only made a few cars that colour and only in 67.My coolest vehicle was an 81 Subaru Brat 4WD that looked like a shrunken El Camino but it could go almost anywhere and was a hoot to barrel down backwoods roads in-small but very quick.

And here's the Royal Enfield I owned for 34 years.[img][/img]

What fun!

Hi gridlok: I've never owned one but the first time I was in India I rode an Enfield for a while. It was almost brand new: at that time (early '80s) they were still making them in India under license, using machinery shipped over from the British plant after it was considered long since redundant in the west.

Amazing bike: a totally different feel - and sound - to anything else I've met. I don't suppose they can still be making them over there... can they?

Cheers - C

The wierdest bike I've ever owned was an Italian Laverda 250 (marketed and badged by Montgomery Ward Dept Store here in the US)

Cars is harder to say:

Pimped out 1976 Opel GT (I had the rear windo changed to come straight down instead of angled back, louvered the rear c pillars ferrari style, and added chrome side pipes)- it looked like a mini corvette stingray.

1974 Chevy Vega (with a 327 ci motor under the hood)

Porsche 914 (modded to hell with a 350 ci motor, radiator, and 911 brakes)

I own a 1979 BMW R65 motorcycle... my grandfather bough it new and rode it until he was too old and feeble to hold it up. He literally fell over on it and the people that helped him up told him to go home and park it. SO it sat in Arizona from 1996 until around 2000. His health deteriorated and as the end drew near he asked if anyone wanted it (he has 7 sons and a daughter) nobody wanted it so i took a road trip from florida to pick it up. I restored it completely and painted it black with purple translucent flames. they said when he was pictures of it he had tears of joy in his eyes. It is a cool old motorcycle.
