327/375hp fuel injected engine with a Muncie 4 speed. I was young, single and foolish...made payments for about two years then had to sell it off.

I had a Vespa motor scooter soon after that!

The coolest i ever owned was a new bmw 325i, straight six, in my early 20's. Metalic blue with a white convertable roof. I had it lowered so the underside was about 2" off the floor. Damn fine motor. The fastest acceleration wise was a Mini clubman with a 1500 lancia engine and two twin weber carbs. First time i tried it I nearly ripped the chassis apart. I had to weld 4 strengthening bars across the floor of it. Got 0 - 105 mph in 9.5 secs. An absolute animal of a car that topped out at 115/120'ish mph.

I was thinking obout one of these, 4.2 litre V8 supercharged beasts

Which you can pick up used for around the price of a jeff beck esquire. That puts a few things into perspective. Unfortunately they dont make one that matches my red strat.

Its all 4 door family saloons and very reasonable insurance quotes these days though.[

I had a 1970 AAR 'Cuda 340-6 pack, automatic. Purple, black interior, for about 3 years in the late '70's. One buddy had a '70 T/A Challenger 340-6 pack, automatic. Another buddy had a '68 426 Hemi Roadrunner, 4 speed, so he always won on the "cool" factor, but I wasn't far behind.

Today I drive a big '02 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4 and have a '90 Porsche 944S2 Cabriolet sitting in the garage gathering dust. 63,000 miles on a 19 year old car.

My first car was a red 1962 Plymouth. No model name, just Plymouth. It sported a slant six 225 with a typewriter transmission.

My favorite however was a 1981 Camaro Z-28. I literally drove that car all over the country when I was in the Navy.

Motorcycle. Not mine but I learned to ride on my Dad's BSA 500 Flash. That was pretty cool. :D

I had a Vauxhall Astra as a rental car during a visit to the UK around 1999 or 2000. I liked it a lot. GM tried to sell that same model in the US as the Cadillac Catera, but it was a colossal flop. They were trying to market it as an entry-level Cadillac. I always thought it could have been successful as a Chevrolet. Makes you wonder why GM has run into such trouble... 8)
