Anyone who uses vox v847a? Do you have comment about it? I want to have jimi hendrix tone so will it be better than crybaby 535q?

I'm sure you'll get plenty of opinions but I like my Vox. It's an old model though.

If that's all you're worried about get the Jimi Hendrix Signature wah.

I have a Crybaby Classic, but I can get Hendrix tone out of it. (Now if only my hands could... )

i have used the jimi hendrix signiture, the zack wylde signiture, a vox, and a crybaby. so far i like the vox and the hendrix signiture. clapton used the vox forever and i've seen hendrix use it a little to. i would go with a vox it lasts longer and sounds better.

I won the store finals (I got some cool prizes for that), and I have the district finals coming up tomorrow. My song has really come together in the last couple of days and I'm really excited to play it, whether I win or not. :)

I have an old (I guess vintage is the word now?) Vox Cry Baby pedal made by Thomas Organ Company.

Until I get around to restoring it, I've been using a Teese, which is a very good wah. It does the Vox and then some, but not quite as much as the Morley Vai Bad Horsie.

This is a pretty interesting read on pedals (including wahs) with an interview with Geoff Teese :

Great wah. I've used it a number of times, though I don't own one. I have a crybaby that I never use, but I can get a great Hendrix tone from it.

The wah I currently use is a morley bad horsie II. Not very vintage sounding, but between the guitar tone, the amp tone, and the way I would play it - there are few that wouldn't say it sound very Hendrix-like. You just have to learn how to "use" your gear and get your tones out of it.

I've used my friends once and played with the v847 many tmes at guitar center and i like it better than any wah pedal in its price range. i havent been able to save up the cash for one yet because of my GAS, but once I do I'll be buying the v847.

I got an old Vox Wah that Dunlop made for Vox. Its a USA made one. Is that something worth holding on to? I heard that the current Vox wahs are Chinese made now.
