In 1957, I bought with my own money, Loving You by Elvis Presley and then went on to get his first two albums!

The first abum i ever got was the Elvis Presley Golden Medley vinyl. I really wish i still had that one but it was gone before my teen years. I think i was like 10 yrs old when i got it with money earned from mowing grass.

Beatles - Rubber soul,
at the time we had a mono - all tube hand wired hi-fi from Sears Robuck, it had a spring tone arm with pennies taped to it :D

The first albums I ever owned (on cassette) were Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and the Police's "Synchronicity". Both were Christmas presents!

The first that I ever bought with my own money, I believe, was "Rattle and Hum" by U2.
