okay so my friend needs some help, his pickups fell thru the pickguard and are in the bass. he needs to know how to fix them. any help??

Okay, so remove the pickguard and once you've put the springs back on the pickup height adjustment screws in the pickguard, screw them back into the pickup in the appropriate threaded holes.
