I am thinking about my next amplifier and I don't want something that is expensive as I would only be playing it around the house. Having said that there seems to be a HUGE selection of amps if I were to buy one but I was thinking something simple. A louder version of the Champ600 would be ideal for me needs so I began thinking about the Pro Junior.

Does the Pro Junior have the same sound as the Blues Junior? Because I did not like the speaker from that amplifier at all and I found it rather 'harsh'. Has anyone heard the Pro Junior? I know that is expensive but there is a shop close to home that has had that amp for a Looooooonnnnnnng time and I know they probably would be willing to sell it at cost price or something real cheap anyway.

one of the guys i work with has a pro junior and it is a great little amp, super bluesy crunch to it and high output at low volumes. If I get another amp this will be it. Good choice I say go for it.

I use a PJ for small clubs, it keeps up with a fairly loud drummer with the volume on 7 (it goes to 12). I think it's too much amp for just playing around the house. Go for a G-DEC 30 for the house.

i have a Peavey Royal 8 Valve King 5w for around the house and I've been real pleased with it for $200. Check that one out, I know the Fender Champion all tube is a nice little amp too. Those were the two I decided between and just got a great deal on the Peavey so I had to go for that one.
