But you do not know what kind of owner he would be, just because you think he's a political nut does not make him a bad owner. My guess is he knows sports and business very well. Were talking 950 million! And face it the good owners sit back and let there people run the show. The ones that are sticking there ideas in the team decision suck. Cowboys, Skins, Raiders never make the final cut.

Well.. That's not hardly the point. What he would then be is an eccentric owner who loves the media spotlight. I have a hard time believing that he knows sports any more than I do, as far as business goes, I can't disagree with you. Anyone with a bank account that large obviously has a good sense of business as I would tend to think all football owners do posses in other fields of business outside of football.

But his particular field in which he accumulated his fortune is the business of creating a media circus. Take all political views out of the equation, and that's essentially what he's good at. Being a media clown. That being said, I believe that he would probably lay low initially to soften the media onslaught, but that personality will surface later.

Media whores don't know how to shut it off. And that personality becomes a reflection of the team. What gets said outside of football by him as a celebrity personality will spill into the image and reflection of the team. Had he said what he said about black QB's in the league as an owner, it would have become a distraction to a team as well as himself and his own image. If you think the Skins, Cowboys, Raiders, have distractions from the owners, this would be that x's 10. There's no way a media clown spends that kind of money and lays low. Within the scope of a few years, the Rams would be the joke of the league by a mile.

His political views are what they are. I wouldn't feel any different about it if it was any radio personality who has made their money in the same manner. Here's a list of people I'd rather not see as an owner of a team I support:

Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, Dennis Miller, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, Mancow, Al Franken, Don Imus, Mitch Album, Ryan Seacrest, etc..etc..etc...The list goes on.

You see what I'm getting at here?

Well there are some sports owners who get too involved but sometimes it works as I have watched probably the most famous of them all since he bought the team ,and that would be big George and the NY Yankees. And he has finally become bigger than life in his old age.He sure as hell made it an interesting ride and year after year always put out a quality product for his fans, and this is coming from a Mets fan. When I look back at all the crazy things that went on with the Yanks and his battles with the media, now that he is not in the best of health the papers are all pulling out the win it this year for George. I used to love how Al Davis would always take the bad boys and discards and have some great teams but it seems he has lost his magic as the Raiders have been just awful. The one that I take pleasure in watching the rug getting pulled from under him the most is Mr Jones in Dallas.lol To me he is the biggest disappointed coach there ever was.And to watch him pop up on the sidelines with a few minutes left with that giddy smile, well lets just say it has been enjoyable watching them self destruct at the end for the last decade.

It's always been a favorite in this household.!!! 8) Mike

So there's 4-teams with 0-5 records. I wonder if that's some kind of record in itself?

I'm starting to think there needs to be a loser playoff to see who's ACTUALLY the worst team in football.

I watched a little of their game this week. Sad! They all looked like they did not want to be there. They moved around like slugs with very little effort. I'd fire all the coaches and players. There has to be some players that would love to get paid tons of money to play a game. The worst!! :?

Miami shocks the Jets with 6 seconds in a great Monday night game 31 to 27. Sunday had some great finishes as well with the Bengals stunning the Ravens and the Cowboys escaping severe humiliation in KC. How I wish KC would of upset them. Plus another good one between the Pats and Broncos. My sympathy to anyone that had to be tortured watching the Browns and the Bills in the Toilet Bowl.

My Titans are just awful and the ship is sinking. We are in serious need of a QB, WR's, DT and Secondary help.

Sorry Joe, you are right, and I'm even happier; I was busy watching the final 2009 ALMS race from Laguna Seca.

dbr how weird is it that the Titans bring back just about the same team as last year and cant buy a win. Well at least it is not NY as you have a damn good coach. Here they would be screaming for his head by now. I predict a 7 and 9 record for you guys then next year they are going to give VIN his chance.Biggest game of the week has to be Giants and Saints .Hope Eli is close to 100% we dont want to here any excuses but it should be a great game. Throw in the Shockey factor makes it even better. Also Vikings and Steelers another good one. My sympathy to anyone that has to watch the Raiders,Jags or Browns. Will the Browns ever score in double digits.
