Liverpool take on Fiorentina (that's Florence to you lot!) in the European Champions League tonight. Torres got a hat trick on Saturday, if he gets one tonight then again against Chelsea at the weekend I'll be most pleased.... oooh, er... did you mean football or some strange American game? :D

I wonder how a world football league would work out?

Every region having it's own rules? might be fun!!

Play a series with alternating rulesets.

One night of American Gridiron rules, where the much smaller Association Football(Soccer,) players get crushed like bugs, another where you see 300lbs. linemen dropping like flies with heart attacks trying to play zone coverage. Not to mention the rugby and Aussie rules guys busting out your teeth.

Maybe that could be the format of a tournament with the use of the phrase Football being the prize. As it stands all the current forms have pretty much the same validity of claim to the name.

Why do the US 'football' teams have funny names? Do they need to invent catchy names for the teams because the sport's a bit boring??? I mean, what's wrong with a good old-fashioned name based on the place the team comes from, like West Bromwich Albion or Hamilton Academicals? :D

You honestly think our football is more boring than Soccer? Something I'll never understand. Soccer puts me to sleep in 10-minutes.

Soccer might be a fun game to play but it sure is boring to watch. Right up there with baseball. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

What!! Soccer is very boring. No one pushes play anymore, its all too safe. Not to mention all the honourless diving and faking injury to draw penalties.

Ravens lost  It wasn't meant to be 45 seconds left and a good pass drop in the endzone, 28 seconds left and a pass hits the receiver right in the numbers and he turns to run that last eight yards but he forgot to catch the ball that just nailed him in the chest before running. They gave that one away.
I could not believe the second roughing the passer call on the Ravens when Brady got hit in the foot and never fell or anything, he just started yelling he hit me he hit me and gets the call and kept a drive going for the second time that was stoped. The Brady rule what a joke, the third time I have seen it called this year. If the Qb is still standing there with no harm how can that be 15 yard penalty?  Cost me 100.00

Giants 4-0/ Jets 3-1 Well we knew they were not going undefeated and would have to play mistake free against the Saints which did not happen. Good news is next 5 games against teams with losing records. Browns and Mangenius 0-4 sorry Cleveland/ Tomorrow if you are a football fan you will be tuned in to Vikes -GB pt1 which if you love Favre or loath him you must watch this game as the gunslinger seeks his revenge. I am as pumped for this game as I would be for a Gary Moore -Jeff Beck double bill. This has more twist and turns than a four star thriller and I predict the ratings for this game will be up there near the top for Monday Night Football.
