Congrats Niki on becoming the forums alltime hits leader. Should shape up to be an exciting season with Mike on your heels and Chet on the mend to regain the crown. Congrats Nik and if you dont know that is baseball talk when someone passes anothers record,

I wouldn't even be up there if it wasn't for my cancer diagnosis. Sad, but true! Numbers don't mean much, it's all good.

Congrats Mr Nick, but I wish they would abolish the post counts...it's all good!

Totally agree - and I really wish we could lose the "amateur - roadie - professional musician" bit as well. I'd HATE anyone to think we were writing "rock star" under our names ourselves!

And let's remember, if Jeff Beck or Robben Ford joined the Forum tomorrow they'd begin with one post and the word "hobbyist" under their name...

But congrats to Niki anyway - and stick around, Chet!

Congratulations Niki! 8) I would not mind if they got rid of the names such as "Rock Star' but I think the number of post and joined date should stay. The members who have been on here from the first or several years deserve recognition! The new members need to know if they are getting advice from a long time trusted member or someone who just joined for "some unknown reason" Just MHO!

I thought I DID write "Rock Star" under my name!

Anyway, the king is dead, long live the king. It seems to be a battle between NN and MM for the lead from here on out ... I remember the old days when I got as high as #4 in the post counts, ah, the good old days.

Now let me see some vintage Fender guitars! Please!

Hi Nikininja,

Well done lad, I look forward to the rude penguin.
A sign something worth reading is ahead.

Cheers.

Hey Orville, I have a premonition that you will be back up to number seven very shortly, and that you will then stay there for a fair while...

It's amazing that with all of the registered members, that only 53 have over 1,000 posts. "We have 237,709 registered users"

Sad, but true!

Speaking only for myself, that's because with the wealth and breadth of knowledge many of the other members exhibit, I'm usually too intimidated to offer my meager opinion. I prefer to just absorb the knowledge and ambiance.

But you may have some good advice for others?
