I have an amateur recording studio in my home, I am running everything through my computer, but unfortunatley the power box to my house is directly under the studio. So what does everyone think?
Power conditioner or hum canceling unit? or any other suggestions?

Hello BastardN,

Power conditioner for me. Hum cancelling units take a bit of
something off the top of the tone. There's a high tension
tower in front of my home, so noise is a staple, I live with it.

Completly covering my house in sheet metal might help.

Cheers.

A Furman unit would be my first choice, but these are handy to have around when mic'ing an amp for recording :

Hi Mike, great to hear from you as well.
I was looking at those Hum-X's too.

Yes. You can use the smaller units or the rackmount units.

Wow, I haven't heard from you in a while BastardN. Glad you are back at the lounge. I see you have "Caveman Studios" running. Hope you've been busy working and building guitars :)

Mustangtoo, great to hear from you!
Things have been crazy, but I'm back..lol.
Yeah the Caveman studio is running well, it's open especially when the wife is watching those "think-you-can-dance-and-be-an-american-drama- queen" shows. I hope things are good with you.

All I can say is take a look at Panamax they are well worth the money.
I use them because many have power filtration.
