Hello All,

OK, I know it's not a Fender product but seeing
as it's a bit uncommon, have a look.

New Guitar Day brought me this,
Pristine, purple, pearl
Danelectro Hodad.

The Flagship of their line, it's features include:
4 single coil lipstick pickups
Coil tap/ tone pushpull pot
Out of phase/tone pushpull pot
2 volume pots
3 way switch
adjustable/intonable bridge
Bigsbyesque Danelectro tremolo
GraphTech nut
Gotoh tuners.
21 fret resewood board
Base adjustable maple neck
Masonte top & bottom
Side wood is anybody's guess

This axe is happiest surfing the pipeline
or rockin down the roadhouse. The purple color
and tremolo system aren't often seen together on
these hodads. They stopped makin them about a decade age,
but they're out there. If you see one, keep your preconcieved notions
in your pocket and give it a test drive.

Here you go.

Cheers.

Wow, Mr Bill, that is awesome--congratulations! I've always been a big Mosrite fan, and that Dano looks like a dead ringer. Enjoy it--surf's up! 8)

Mr Bill I really dig the old school retro vibe. I know you will be whipping up some cool licks on that. I never played one of those how are the necks on them.

That's awesome! I can just picture plugging that into a Twin Reverb with the sound of waves crashing in the background...

Sweet!

tres cool Bro, an old two twelve silvertone or other off brand with a tremolo could create some serious twang.

Cool guitar. I've never played one, but I sure would like to. I really like the 60's vibe.

I can hear the waves crashing onto the beach accompanied by jangly guitar music from here.

Mr Bill your taste as always is impeccable.

Hello All,

Thanks for the comments, glad to see you enjoy it.

Straycat113, -----the neck is about the same as a mexico fender
the fretboard is flatter, 12radius neck & at the nut 1.650.

Mike,---- The pickups are quiet, no doubt because they are totally
shielded by the lipstick case. Tone wise it's thin and edgy with
more twang, kinda like a tele bridge pickup x2. The out of phase
& coil tap are nice to tame the janglyness.

Cheers.

First electric was a '59 black double pickup, double cutaway Dano. No I do not still have it :( Do you think we all had 40 years of prescience back then :?:
