Nobody has ever touched me the way Jimi has when it comes to guitar right down to his gum chewing. I guess it was because he was the first that seemed like he posessed some kind of super human playing ability and that I would never be able to play a song of his. I was only 8 years old when he died and have garnered other idols and heroes in the guitar world throughout the years but like anything else in life there is nothing like your first.
