What do you think of his playing, his guitars, his sound?


I don't care much for what I've heard on the show, but his solo CD is pretty darn good, IMO.

His job on the show is sidekick to Leno. He makes it look easy, but he has cue the music takes to Leno's monologue, for the breaks, and 'ab lib' as well.

Mike we only get to here 15 seconds tops on the show so I would not call that a fair assesment. lol The guy is an ace player with killer chops as I have heard some of his CD and to have that job well that speaks for itself.

Oh, I agree, his CD is killer and the guy CAN play for sure. When on the old Tonight show, a few times he got to cut loose, but nothing compared to his own tracks. 8)

It's probably the studio mics that give the a muddy sounding tone on TV?
