Currently working as a Cargo Heavy Drop Rigger for cargo Parachutes and equipment drop rigging.. 605’s / 2T2 X1’s give a shout….thanx to all those that came before me and set the bar for excellence so high…thanx to all that have served, do serve, and will serve in the future.
Cheers
Bill

I was in the Active Army as a Medic from 1993 until 2002. During the last year of that last enlistment I tried desperately to attend the Army's LVN/LPN program, but could attend the course because of my rank (SGT/E-5). I was disgruntled because I had tried to do this several times during my enlistments, but was never allowed. I was not going to take no for an answer again, especially since 2 of my friends had gotten to go a few years earlier.

I seperated from the Army and went on to college and finally got my LVN. While attending school I joined the Texas Air National Guard as a medic from 2002 until 2006. Just as I was about to re-enlist into the Army as a Medic/LVN, but I was diagnosed with asthma (which is a disqualifying condition for enlistment).

It was a great 13 years. I was mostly State side and was at Ft. Riley, White Sands Missle Range, Ft. Lewis, and served 1 tour in Korea. I got to play in Ft. Irwin, Ca several times (6 times---who's counting) and TDY to Thialand for a Joint Military Exercise.

If I could I would re-enlist again, but I am happy where I am in life now.

USAF - 1962 thru 66 - Automatic Weapons System Technician - I worked on the radar (and later infra-red) systems on the F-101B Voodoo.

I was also a Weapons System Loader (we were short handed) - so I got to do reload duty on planes - loading 2 AIM-4 Falcons and 2 MB-1/AIR-2 Genie nuclear rockets)

Nothing wrong with being proud of your military service. I consider it to be one of the highlights of my life.

Of course! There is a word 'Omerta' that describes an attitude common in southern europe, I always refer to the code of honor description, without going into detail, silence helps sometimes.
