I like them both. They do their own thing and do it good. But I think everybody knows SRV is the better guitarist. Maybe Stevie was just more dedicated and obsessed with the guitar than Jimmy was.

While I did vote for Stevie, both are excellent guitarists in their own right.

I like Jimmy, but I love Stevie. I think the poll reflects that, too.

I voted for Stevie Ray Vaughn because he is one of the greatest guitar players in history. The album Texas flood is a pleasure to listen to and gets better with more listenings as you get into the guitar work on it. Lenny is a beautiful song written about his wife (Fender's featuring it now with that guitar). He's playing a strat pretty clean there with plenty of reverb and that's just a beautiful sound.

Jimmie Vaughn is a very good player. He tours with Clapton and he's a bluesman who I respect.

Jimmy is more of an old school bluesman while SRV had his own unique style. He more than anyone else during the '80s Blues revival inspired me to play the Blues again.

I voted for SRV only because I liked his wiggle bar use. They are/were different players and good at what they do/did, IMO.

SRV's whammy bar was on the left side of the bridge.

I'm great full that Jim was there to influence his brother at a young age to get him to play those divine tones he plays.
So truthfully I love'em both aswell :p
