Hey guys, haven't been posting frequently, its just my schoolwork. I am actually joining this club, called WiC. World Interest club. It's sort of like a model U.N. except we do more than hold receptions.

Wish me luck for mini model next month where I try out and see if I can make one of the 6 spots for freshmen. :D I'll keeep you posted.

I can go to either Brown U, Harvard U, or Johns Hopkins U in of of the debates. (provided I'm accepted.)

WIC means something completely different at the supermarket 'round
the corner from me.

Your tax dollars at work.

FYI... WIC is a grant program, not an entitlement. They only have so much money to help a family of 4 making $39,000 a year take care of their baby's health.

The real " " here, is that $39,000 is now considered poverty level. And that a troll hijacked a nice post about High School homework...

Carry On, people.

That is an awesome goal to set for yourself!

Don't ever be afraid to reach for a star! Good luck - keep us posted!

tell me about it, and the bad thing is that WIC stands for Women Infants and Children...but majority of the time you see something else using it.

And dbr2026 knows this because he spends 24/7 at the supermarket, right? People can only use it on baby formula, baby food, and other dairy products... Another post hijackin', know - nothin' troll chimes in...

Sorry, hendrixfan99... do well with your studies and maybe you'll be the one to change things in your future...

sorry if i hurt your feelings, but if you think that the WIC program is being used properly in this nation, you truly are delisuonal. The whole "people can only use it on" may be true based on the outline of the program, but it does not hold up in real life that way. Not going to bicker back and forth with you though. Have a nice day.

And I would choose Brown, for the topic starter.

I love trolls n' hijackers so long as they start a long and hilarious argument on a guitar forum!

But if I had a choice to where, I would definitely choose Brown (it's cheaper, first of all...). I finally got a mentor and we're having our first meeting soon, along with another partner.

Coincidence that my one and only partner happens to be someone that I like a lot, and we're representing the U.S. in so called 'mini model?' The statistical odds: 1 in 56.

I lost a job when my daughter was born, and the WIC program was the only way my wife and I could afford the formula. And she said she used to get dirty looks when she used it. Even by the check out girls. But, she took it in stride, because at the time we needed the help. We almost lost our house as well, but I found a job just in time to advert financial disaster.

You didn't hurt my feelings though... since my opinion is based on experience, not on delusion... or an assumption about human nature...

I was one of the people throwing dirty looks.

Bad vibes, too.

Sometimes I change lines, so I don't have to watch.
Sorry for your bad luck, though, DBR.

Nope. Just stopped in for a 12 pack for your mother. Guess you can't buy beer with food stamps.
